Founded in 1899, we are one of the largest and most competitive rowing clubs in East Anglia.
We compete all year round at events of all sizes, including top class races like Henley Royal, Henley Women's, the British Rowing Championships and the various Tideway heads. We have reached the semi-finals of the Wyfold and Silver Goblets Challenge Cups at Henley Royal.
The boathouse is normally open for rowing and land training each weekday evening, as well as weekend mornings. Visits from prospective members are always welcome. It is always best to make contact with one of the captains before visiting and they will be more than happy to show you around the boathouse.
We welcome all levels of rower, from competitive rowers aiming for Henley to those who are interested in entering the sport. Our learn to row course is run several times a year to bring in new talent and we also have a very active junior squad.
We host two regattas on the cam a year: one in spring and one in autumn. The Spring Regatta is a smaller inter-town regatta, which is usually held in May, which is well attended by both city and college clubs. The Autumn Regatta is held in early Autumn and is a two lane regatta.
Our event pages have detailed information for finding the regatta, and information required to compete.
